LIFE Groups
Living In Full Engagement with Jesus!
At Mineral Wells we are committed to individual growth in Christ. For our Adult members this is often best achieved through LIFE Group participation and study. We have several active LIFE Groups available that fit a variety of needs. Our goal is to help each Adult member find their group to worship and serve alongside. Whatever your age, need, or time availability – we have a LIFE Group for you. And new groups are forming all the time…if you have an interest in a particular study or service area we will help you find others who share those same desires. Contact us today and we will help you find a LIFE Group that is just right for you!

What is a LIFE Group?

LIFE Groups are environments where 3-12 people Live In Full Engagement with Christ. They are Filled Up, growing in their love of Jesus, learn to care for each other, and in turn, Flow Out with that love to our local community. LIFE Groups typically meet in homes, at the church, coffee shops, restaurants, parks, or where there is room!

Why are they so important?

At Mineral Wells we believe life change happens best in LIFE Groups. What do we mean by that? Simply put, your friends influence the direction of your life. This is true in both direction –good and bad friendships. The writer of Proverbs states: “Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble”. The more you choose to intentionally surround yourself with others who desire to be in community with other Christians, you are more likely to Fill Up and grow deep with the love of Jesus Christ, learn to care for and encourage each other, and Flow Out into the community, and the world, to bring others to Christ.

How often do groups meet?

LIFE Groups meet at different times and days throughout the week. Most groups meet weekly.

What happens in a LIFE group? Even though all LIFE Groups are not the same, how groups spend their time is similar to one another – LOVING, LEARNING and LEADING.  We follow this format. First, in the loving movement we answer the question, “how have we seen God at work recently?” We call these “Glory Sightings.” We worship together, then spend time Learning from one another and from the Holy Spirit around a discussion of the Scriptures we mutually read through the week. We then ask the question, “What is my next step for abiding in Christ more fully?”  There is always a next step to grow to be like Jesus.  That is our goal.

Some groups eat too.  Can’t not have food, right?
And we surround all we do with prayer.
Finally, groups occasionally have nights where they simply hangout, or likewise serve together with a local mission.
